The Tiffen XLE APEX series filter is a big-stopper ND filter capable of reducing exposure by as much as 10 stops. Designed for use with all DSLRs, APS-C & Micro 4: 3 regardless of the type of lens installed.

Designed for extreme long exposures, the filter allows you to blur any movement in the scene. The APEX is able to block a part of the standard infrared and implements the Tiffen Hot Mirror technology to eliminate the IR pollution that can occur in shooting with long exposures. These two features allow you to take shots with slow shutter speeds without the risk of compromising the color of the image.
